This adorable and cute little cat has been drawn on handmade paper, using archival black indian ink, artist quality watercolour pencil and acrylic.
 
This original drawing is one of a kind, and is circa A6 sized, which, when measured exactly is 10 x 15.5cm.  
 
The paper is handmade by myself, using paper which would otherwise be recycled.  It is a light grey colour, textured and has flecks from the various different papers used.  It is also has slight wrinkles, and isn't perfectly uinform.  I love to work with it, as it suits my style of illustration perfectly. 
 
The paper doesn't have any chemical components, and is made using the traditional frame and deckle method, which is a time consuming process of soaking paper, making it into a pulp and then using the frame to make the paper.
 
It retains the raw deckled edge, and when cut to size, I hand tear to ensure it retains the authentic style.  It reminds me of paper from a bygone era, and this would be classed as a cardboard thickness.
 
This original doodle will come presented in a home compostable plastic-free cello bag, so you can recycle it with food waste, or put it in your compost bin, as it is made from vegetable starches only. 
 
The doodle would look lovely framed, and is a perfect gift for a cat lover.
